New Leadership at Yahoo
Yahoo has appointed Valeri Liborski as its new Chief Technology Officer, succeeding Aengus McClean. This strategic move comes as the company aims to bolster its global engineering efforts and intensify its focus on artificial intelligence.
A Proven Leader in Tech
Liborski joins Yahoo with an impressive track record spanning over two decades. He previously served as CTO at HelloFresh, where he was instrumental in scaling the company’s technology and product operations. His prior experience includes significant roles at Amazon and Microsoft, where he was a player in the development of Amazon Route 53 and various Microsoft products.
Transforming Yahoo’s Tech Landscape
Under Liborski’s leadership, Yahoo aims to advance its artificial intelligence investments and enhance its technology infrastructure. “Val’s extensive experience and leadership in technology make him the ideal choice to lead Yahoo’s engineering efforts into the future,” said Jim Lanzone, Yahoo’s CEO.
A Smooth Transition
As McClean prepares to retire at the end of the year, Liborski’s appointment marks a new chapter for Yahoo. McClean has been pivotal in Yahoo’s transformation since the company’s spinout from Verizon in 2021. “We thank Aengus for his incredible contributions and wish him the best in his next chapter,” Lanzone added.
Liborski is enthusiastic about his new role, expressing his excitement to contribute to Yahoo, a company he regards as an influence in his life. “I’m thrilled to join Yahoo and work with a team dedicated to developing technology that impacts millions of lives,” Liborski said.
