Sony has officially revealed the much-anticipated PlayStation Plus games for January 2025, and the lineup does not disappoint. Starting January 7, subscribers can dive into Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League on PS5, race through Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered on PS4, and unravel mysteries with The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe on PS4 and PS5.
Suicide Squad: A Bittersweet Finale
The spotlight is undoubtedly on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This marks the final chapter for the game, as Rocksteady confirmed they will cease new content development after Season 4. Despite this, the game offers plenty for fans to enjoy, including playable Deathstroke, offline mode, and all previous seasonal content.
Critics have been divided, with our review labeling it a “repetitive looter-shooter” that falls short of long-term engagement despite its gripping story.
Need for Speed: Nostalgia, Revved Up
For racing fans, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered delivers the adrenaline rush of its 2010 predecessor with a modern twist. Enhanced visuals, cross-platform multiplayer, and Autolog’s asynchronous competition bring the game to life. While it might not be the “most exciting remaster,” it remains a top-tier arcade racer, now polished to perfection.
The Stanley Parable: A Classic Reinvented
Completing the lineup is The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. This expanded reimagining of the 2013 hit boasts new content, decisions, and surprises while retaining its signature wit and creativity. Our review hailed it as “a whole new game’s worth of additional content that revitalizes a beloved classic.”
Before you jump into January’s offerings, don’t miss December’s titles, which will leave the service on January 6.
